Toilet Floor

Urinal odours and smells are also caused by tracking of urine on shoe soles from the urinal to the vanity basin and from the urinal to the exit door and from the vanity basin to the exit door. As these urine deposits dry they become anaerobic causing odours and smells which permeate many male toilets.

Daily mopping the toilet floors with pre –diluted BioClean will eradicate this problem. BioClean can be used for all toilet floor areas.

Heavily Soiled or high use urinals may need a slightly stronger concentration, but the cleaning method is the same as above.

1. Daily Cleaning

Daily cleaning is undertaken by the cleaner a part of the normal routine.

NoFlush BioCleaner is sprayed on the urinal surfaces every day and used to mop the toilet floor daily. There is no need to use any other cleaner for these functions.

Chemical cleaners containing chlorine and or phosphoric acid compounds cannot be used with the NoFlush biological cleaner as they kill the aerobic bacteria it contains and create an anaerobic environment that produces the smelly urinal and toilet floor odours the NoFlush Urinal System eliminates.

2. Remedial cleaning
Remedial Cleaning is performed where the urinal and surrounds have built up deposits that need extra time and attention to remove. Mix a stronger solution and thoroughly saturate stubborn deposits. Leave this for a few minutes and scrub, re-spray and leave overnight, scrub and rinse again.

Remedial Cleaning is generally only required if

  • the site is a new installation, or
  • Cleaners have failed to undertake the daily cleaning regime and smells and odours have return and there is a build up of slime and encrustations in the urinals trough and on the floor areas in front of the urinals.
  • Cleaners have been using chlorine and acid based cleaners on the urinals and floor areas and have killed all the beneficial micro- organisms and aerobic bacteria
